Introductions Due

Hello, I've been enjoying the board for a few months and it's beyond time to introduce myself. I fear my story is a long one....

I first purchased Felicity and a few outfits for my daughter in 1993. At the time I didn't know much about the company, but thought the dolls pretty and good quality.

When my DH left home I packed away the doll stuff, relegated the box to the far reaches of the garage and forgot about it (please forgive me).

A few years ago after yet another move, I was unpacking some old boxes when I came across Felicity, brought her into the light and thought hhhmmmmmm maybe she'd like to sit on the guest room bed.

I decided to bid on a few eBay Felicity items so there would be more of a collection for (someday) grandchildren. In order to be a savvy eBay buyer, I felt it my responsibility to research all things AG & PC.

Well.....I fell in love with all things AG/PC. From there is was, as one of the board members put it, A Slippery Slope".

I felt Felicity needed a friend, the friend needed clothes, they both needed places to sit and sleep and so on...you understand.

My collection expanded, but my family and friends understanding did not. I was beginning to feel so out of place that I began to sell all but the Felicity and Bitty Baby items (o.k. and the down-hill racing gear).

After Thanksgiving I met a wonderful woman who introduced me to this board. What a change it has made. I no longer feel guilty or weird that I'm a grown woman who "plays" with dolls. Even my DM has been reformed and wants Molly and thinks I should collect all things historical AG.

A heart felt "'Thank You" to stebbarry and all of you. The comradery, tips, ideas and help in restoration has been great. I look forward to reading posts and feel as if I'm sitting down to conversation with long-time friends!
